A Passage To India | E.M. Foster | Book Review E. M. FORSTER English novelist Edward Morgan Forster OM CH, who lived from 1 January 1879 to 7 June 1970, is best known for his books A Room with a View (1908), Howards End (1910), and A Passage to India (1924). In addition, he produced a large number of essays, lectures, broadcasts, short stories, and plays for pageants. Moreover, he co-wrote the opera Billy Budd (1951). He is now regarded as one of the most prominent English novels of the Edwardian era.
